Conference Theme:

The conference theme is "Empowering Asian Pacific American Women." Over the past two years, the pandemic has rocked the APA community with the rise in anti-Asian hate. The rise in anti-Asian hate has been accompanied with economic hardship and mental health crisis. APA women have been targeted disproportionately by violence as seen as the shootings at the spas in Atlanta. 

As APA lawyers, we are uniquely positioned to bring these issues to the attention of the executive, legislative and judicial branches, as well as the broader public. Cal-APABA's conference will address how to restructure the legal workplace to better support APA women, address wellness strategies and techniques, how to be a better ally to APA women attorneys, overcoming barriers to advancement as an APA woman lawyer, and coping with anti-APA hate.
