Villy Wang is a visionary founder, TED speaker, storyteller, and community builder who has spent more than two decades creating opportunities beyond the spotlight. As founder of BAYCAT, she bridged the digital divide for over 5,000 youth and launched hundreds of careers for young BIPOC creatives, opening doors for voices too often overlooked.

The first Asian and Chinese American woman to serve as President of the San Francisco Film Commission, she spent 17 years advancing inclusive filmmaking and creative economic policy. After stepping away from BAYCAT last year, Villy is embracing a new chapter, redefining leadership beyond titles and showing that Asian women’s strength is not only in what we build, but in how we evolve.
